In addition to community management, I also work on the in-game text assets. Our multiplayer modes are occasionally complex, especially Wars, and I wanted to prompt you for some feedback about how the game explains it. I'm going to throw some questions up, and if you have a few minutes, maybe write a response to one or more of them. We think we've made these things better since the Xbox version, but I'd still like see what we could improve. Thanks for taking a look!

1) Do you understand the correlation between the turrets you build/upgrade and how much money you get per infusion in Wars? Did you understand that before you actually got in-game? How many Wars games did you play before you understood that?

2) Did you know what to expect with the escalation turret? Did you know why you should escalate?

3) Did you realize you had to send creeps? How long did it take you before you sent creeps?

4) Did you notice that mass came to you via regular infusions?

1. Yes, what, yes, and I only fully understood it after 2 games.
2. No, in fact I didn't know it existed until it told me to escalate. I didn't know what the game was talking about, but noticed my opponent started sending bigger enemies, so I searched around frantically for something and finally found the turret.
3. Yes, but I didn't fully realize just how MANY I should send.
4. What's an infusion...

1. I got the basics after 2-3 games. Working on the details like "what causes my upkeep to skyrocket?".
2. Yes, i read the encyclopedia the first time i launched the game (yes, i like to read)
3. Yes, but i keep forgetting that. Feels strange to spawn creeps in a Tower Defense game.
4. Yes, noticed it in the first game. At the beginning i wondered what the infusion thing in the top right corner is. Got it later when i understand how the income works.

Cool. This feedback got us talking in-house, we're going to add a bit to the message that prompts you to upgrade, as well as a bit more of a description of infusions.

What have you guys been thinking about Co-op, Versus and Duo? Are they pretty understandable? They are, to us here in-house, a bit more obvious than Wars, so if they haven't been such to you, let us know!

Oh and Versus = best mode EVAR

We all really love the six player "Snowdrift" versus mode in-house. :)

Good times playing again, Slye! We'll get more on tomorrow night and maybe get some more of the developers on the vent server.

Probably have an official event on Saturday too.
